Yo, buddies. Still alive?

Any of you know Ageha? No? Well, she’s a character of Kyoukai no Rinne, a series made by ever-famous Rumiko Takahashi, the person behind the hit series such as Ranma 1/2, Inuyasha, and Urusei Yatsura. Ageha is your typical anime “idiot with money” who will buy anything, be it being too expensive or just plain ripped off, to get close to Rinne, no matter the circumstances or consequences. She never realised that her idiocy has produced a lot of trouble of those near her, some of which ended up leading a failure life.

The same goes to the “candidate” who decided to visit the very country whose citizens he wanted to shoo away from his home soil. Yes, they may be illegal immigrants, and I have no qualms on that. But, for him to just go and have a chat with the President is certainly a surprise. Then again, I’m not so surprised that he went full poker face when he visited the neighbouring country before going back to “me being me” for a campaign speech in the home soil.

The reckless Shinigami Ageha.
Now, those two passages are unrelated, I know. But, both Ageha and the “candidate” have two things in common: they talk before they think, so they don’t remember what they say or do. They’re being reckless.

Being reckless is the one thing I’m trying to avoid at all costs. People will, as some point, will do things thoughtlessly without realizing the consequences of their actions. That’s what it means to be reckless. Here in my country, those who are reckless-to-the-core the most are people who ride the two-wheeled, motorised vehicle: Motorcyclist.

I don’t hate motorcyclist, but I certainly don’t like them, either. They use roads that are supposed to be used for pedestrians or busways, cross around roads of opposite direction, transversing narrow gaps (between cars) at speed, stopping during red light at roads which ended up blocking roads for those who wanted to turn, and, the worst of all, they don’t use helmet.

“Follow the rules of the road, dammit!?”
What’s with the idea of not wearing any helmets while riding motorcycle? The traffic regulations clearly stated that all motorcyclist must wear a helmet. The same goes for their passengers, that they must wear helmet, as well. “It’s hot to wear one,” they said. Yes, you choose to be comfortable than being safe, and when you caused an accident with car, you blamed them for not being careful. Thanks for that.

Back to the topic, there’s a thin line of difference between being brave and being reckless. Yes, they are related, as they involve guts, but brave people understand the risks of their actions, while reckless people just don’t. To be precise, they are oblivious to the risks. The candidate make a big gamble in winning over people of the country to vote him, even if it means hurting certain groups of people. That’s reckless, because he’s doing it for fame, not for his people’s sake. That’s why I don’t understand how can he be such a popular candidate.

“I question your mentality.”
Last sentences: stop being reckless. Reckless people are bound to be hated.

Period.
